The Arkansas TCC Chapter met on Saturday, May 6, in the private conference area at Samantha’s Tap Room & Wood Grill. A presentation with photos and videos was made by Steven Clift regarding a Himalayan helicopter expedition in November to eight of the 12 basecamps over 8,000-meter peaks. The topic following was appropriately “A Mountain of Evidence: Adventures and Memories in Mountains of the World.” These ranged from the Alps; Mount Rainier; Exum rock climbing at Jackson Hole; the Torres del Paine in Chile; and the good ole Ozarks in our backyard of Arkansas.
Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Blue Dog room of the Wyndham Riverfront, just across the new Broadway Bridge on the North Little Rock side.
