The Colorado Chapter of the Travelers’ Century Club will hold its first meeting of 2018 on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. at The Imperial Chinese Restaurant in Denver (431 Broadway, 303-698-2800).
Our speaker will be Richard Lion, and he will talk about his visit this past spring to Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, four cities at junctures of the old Silk Road connecting Europe and Asia. Each of these cities was a regional capital and one was capital of an empire. In addition to being prosperous and powerful, they were also centers of learning and culture, with stunning architecture and World Heritage sites.

- October 18 – David will talk about his cruise to the Mid-Atlantic islands
