Forty-nine members and their guests met at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco on March 2. Wendy Arbeit gave a presentation on her September 2018 trip to Papua New Guinea to attend the Goroka Show sing-sing. Along the way she met local tribes and villagers, ate a meal prepared in a mumu earth oven, and watched a fire and smoke dance. Her colorful photography and article were featured in the January 2019 PNG magazine, as well as the official “Welcome to Papua New Guinea” brochure.
