Erwin Sniedzins Featured Speaker for October 2020 Canada Chapter Zoom Meeting

Hello World Travelers,

We are in for a treat on Saturday, Oct.24, at noon EST on our TCC Canada Zoom call.

Our speaker is Erwin Sniedzins, who is a TCC Canada member and is one of the few folks on the planet that have climbed Mount Everest.

He wrote a book about the experience call Three Pillars of Love, which also documents the reason he organized the epic climb – to help raise funds to find a cure for his daughter’s illness. Erwin also co-produced an award-winning movie that won Gold at the New York International Film Festival. Everest, Climb for Hope, narrated by Leslie Nelson.

In advance of Erwin’s presentation, please have a peek below at some additional details on his incredible Everest quest.

Please RSVP to be part of the call with an email response to me and I will send you the Zoom call link.

Hope you can join us for our 3rd TCC Canada Zoom call for 2020.

Warm regards

A father’s quest to find the cause and hopefully a cure for his baby daughter began when he read a newspaper article that described Sarah’s symptoms. After getting confirmation from Dr. Andreas Rett, who discovered Rett Syndrome – it was a good news, bad news moment. The good news was that he now knew it was a genetic disorder. The bad news, they did not know what caused it. Erwin then decided to put together a Mt. Everest “Climb for Hope” expedition for Sarah. He resigned, after 18 years, from Xerox, and enlisted the support of: Sir Edmund Hillary, the Prime Minister of Canada’s wife, Mrs. Mila Mulroney; Russian President’s wife, Mrs. Raisa Gorbachev along with numerous celebrities and thousands of supporters to help in his efforts. His journey led through Peru, Russia, Tajikistan, Paris, Vienna, Prague, Nepal, and Tibet in his quest to raise International awareness and $3 Million to unlock the prison that had inflicted his daughter with Rett Syndrome.
