A nor’easter forced the cancellation of an in-person meeting on Jan. 31, but infectious disease expert Dr. Todd Levin of the Thomas Jefferson Hospital still appeared online as our guest. He spoke about what to do if you’re overseas when a pandemic breaks out. His advice included keeping a well-stocked first aid kit including wipes, hand sanitizer, sterile surgical masks, syringes, Cipro, Z-pac, and region-specific meds as prescribed by a travel medicine physician.
Dr. Levin also encourages anyone to avoid travel until four weeks have elapsed after your second vaccine shot.
The Philadelphia Chapter will meet next on Sunday, May 23.
