AT LONG LAST! On May 27, the Colorado TCC Chapter will meet in person, at 6 p.m. at the Imperial Chinese Restaurant (431 S. Broadway in Denver).
We are so happy to be able to get together again since state and local COVID restrictions have been lifted for now, and we expect that most of us have been fully vaccinated.
Please let me know by Monday, May 24, if you will attend, so that the restaurant can plan for adequate staff to take care of us. And as before, to have use of the private room at the Imperial without an additional charge, each person is expected to have a minimum food and drink purchase of $20.
Our Program: “A global pandemic, political unrest at home, and general uncertainty … seems like a great time to go to Afghanistan.”
In late September 2020, Andy Hicks and two friends made the trip to Afghanistan using a professional guiding company. He will talk about basic information on the sites they explored and their experiences, as well as the general challenges of traveling during COVID, logistics of getting in and out, background on the tour operator, and Taliban influence. Should be fascinating.
I am very excited to see you all there.
