The Southwest Florida (Sarasota) Chapter’s spring meeting was the best attended to date. TCC member Jeff Francis presented on county counting. That is not a typo! Jeff is visiting all the counties in the United States. He is a member of the Extra Miler Club, an organization for county counting. Their motto is “the shortest distance between two points is no fun.”
In May Jeff began a month-long trip to Alaska to visit each of the Boroughs of that state, which involves a lot of logistical hurdles. After visiting Alaska, Jeff plans to celebrate this summer in Bourbon County, Kentucky, as he joins a very small group of people who have visited all 3144 counties and equivalent jurisdictions in the Untied States.
