The summer is flying by and no doubt you have all been doing a lot of interesting travel in Canada and abroad.
Excited to remind everyone that our fall 2023 meeting is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 9, at noon EST in Toronto.
Once again, it will be great to get together and talk travel — our 2023 trips so far and journeys planned.
Our featured speaker will be our own Joseph Lee who many of you know from all the adventurous cycling trips he has done around the world.
Earlier this year, Joseph left his bike at home and toured Central Asia with G Adventures.
‘Four weeks in the Five Stans of the Silk Road’
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Joseph will tell us about the ultimate road trip across these 5 fascinating countries. Unique border crossings, touring cities with crazy oversized architecture, overnight stays in traditional yurts, camping under the stars near the Darvaza crater and witnessing the ‘gates of Hell’, while traversing incredible mountains, forests and deserts as well.
It will be fun having Joseph tour us through this ancient, unique sometimes wacky part of our planet!
Hoping again for a great turn out. For those of you who can attend in person (need to know numbers so we can order a light lunch), as well as those who would like to join the meeting via Zoom (an invite will follow).
