Report From the April 2024 Charter Chapter Meeting in Los Angeles

Nearly 50 TCC members and guests met at the historic Tam O’Shanter Inn in Los Angeles, California on April 13 as the Charter Chapter honored three “new-level” achievers and two new Full Members.
Local chapter member Olivia Narins, as well as Danielle Bretton (who traveled from British Columbia) were presented with Silver Level (150 destinations) certificates while TCC Secretary JoAnn Schwartz (from Northern California) was honored with a Platinum Level (250 destinations) award.
We also welcomed new TCC members, Nat Read and James Zhang along with seven guests, visiting TCC members from the U.K. and Canada as well as our Colorado Coordinator Phyllis McGuire.
Popular presenter Bill Altaffer took us on a fascinating journey to the “Colorful Corners of Croatia,” from the scenic Istrian Peninsula on the Adriatic shores in the west to the eastern Region of Slavonia, home to the ancient Vucedol culture and the historic city of Osijek.
