Virtual Exploration (VE) and TCC Book Club enable members to connect while learning about destinations, in-depth journeys, and practical travel tips. Both occur in the same Zoom call on the third Saturday of each month — with VE at 2pm Eastern time and Book Club an hour and a half earlier. The Zoom link is emailed a few days before the meetings.
When live meetings ceased during the pandemic, TCC created Virtual Exploration meetings on Zoom. Knowledgeable speakers cover countries, regions, festivals and insider strategies for issues like mileage awards and flight cancellations. After the presentations, members can continue the conversation with speakers in three breakout rooms.
Launched in January, TCC Book Club has grown to 40 members who select a book each month within rotating historical, adventure, and contemporary travel categories. The one-hour discussions on Zoom draw upon members’ past readings and experiences. Email Ed Hotchkiss at ExploringEd@gmail.com to be added to the WhatsApp group. See you there!
