Greetings! We hope everyone has had a great year in travel or otherwise, and that you’re now getting immersed in the Holiday season!
I’m excited to announce that we’re planning to have our next Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia Chapter meeting on Monday, Jan. 27, at 11:30 a.m. at the Seasons 52 restaurant in Jacksonville. At this venue we’ll enjoy having a private dining/meeting room with dedicated audio/visual equipment. The restaurant features a rotating menu of seasonal American dishes alongside international wines in an upscale setting. It is conveniently located in the St. Johns Town Center area just a few minutes off I-295; 5096 Big Island Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32246; 904-645-5252. This location is easily accessible to TCC members on the Florida/Georgia I-95 corridor as well as central Florida locations such as Gainesville, The Villages and Orlando. Everyone who has been attending our last few meetings at this location was very happy with it. I hope you can join us for this meeting in the new year!
Russ and I and several other club members recently experienced a “bucket list” cruise from Papeete, Tahiti, to Valparaiso, Chile, that we will be presenting. The trip featured a 23-day expedition cruise on the Silversea ‘Silver Cloud’ which featured port calls at the isolated islands of Pitcairn Island, Easter Island (Rapa Nui), Robinson Crusoe Island, and many others. As always, members will also be able to report on their latest and upcoming travel experiences with fellow travel enthusiasts while enjoying a light lunch.
Dress is casual, and everyone will be responsible for their own check. Please RSVP to me at crus.sun@gmail.com about your attendance as soon as possible, but no later than Jan. 24 so that we can have enough seating. Whether you live in the Northeast/Central Florida or Southern Georgia area or in another part of Florida, you are welcome to join our luncheon meeting. We look forward to sharing “Around the Table, Around the World.” Suggestions for special topics, guest speakers, presentations and possible venues for future meetings are also encouraged.
Please let me know your feedback on what you would like to do with your chapter and future meetings with fellow travelers. And don’t forget to RSVP!
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this meeting in a great location and sharing our mutual joy of travel.
Keep on traveling!
