Nearly 60 TCC members and guests met on the waterfront at the Newport Beach Yacht Club in Orange County, California, on Sept. 13 as the Charter Chapter welcomed three new members and honored a “new level” achiever.
Linda Burns received her Gold Level certificate and pin for having visited 200 TCC destinations, while Lawrence Gaiber, Donna Reeves and Renee Ziegler were officially recognized as new members of the organization.
TCC member and popular travel presenter Tom Getz took us on an exotic journey to the Southeast Asian nation of Myanmar (formerly Burma) including visits to the capital of Yangon, the Mandalay and Irrawaddy River areas, Bagan as well as numerous village and rural sites with historic pagodas, monasteries, caves and stilt houses. His beautiful photos and musical sound track provided a captivating impression of this nation.
