In order to register, please drop me a quick line and send your meeting-room share cost of of 100 Euro per meeting participant to my account.
The deadline for registrations is July 31, 2026.
We will have a flat rate for drinks during the meeting, but this will not cover alcoholic beverages. Lunch is also included in the cost, as is some coffee and cake in the morning and afternoon.
The meeting will take place right in Kiel’s inner city on Saturday, Sept. 12. Our venue is:
ATLANTIC Hotel Kiel
Raiffeisenstraße 2
24103 Kiel
Germany
The next Spring Meeting, is scheduled to take place in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, on (and around) May 15, 2027. This event will be announced as a Regional Meet-Up like the most recent one in Belfast, so we will create quite a bit
of international interest! A pre-meeting two-day agenda in the adjacent capital of Vienna, Austria, is currently being planned, too.
Please expect a more detailed mailing soon in order to find out about the number of participants likely to join in, and to pick a suitable venue in Bratislava accordingly.
One presentation for Bratislava, however, is almost fixed — about Saint Helena, the world’s second most remote inhabited island (after nearby Tristan da Cunha). The speaker is Dean Allen, a travel author and historian originally from the UK and now based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has another tour to Saint Helena planned for October this year, so you may join him and become part of next year’s presentation.
All the best for now — and hoping to see many of you in Kiel!
Armin Schreiner
Central Europe Chapter Coordinator
