Coordinator Jerry Allen reports that members Bob Young and Nathan White revved up the group about their past trips to Malta. Bob spoke about the a historical walk through Valetta, while Nathan spoke about his travel challenge of driving a manual transmission on the opposite side of the road from what he is used to.
Mark Russell and Sylvia-Hanna Russell gave an informative presentation on Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. They highlighted the Guiana Space Centre and Kaieteur Falls in Guyana — the world’s largest single drop (741 feet) waterfall by volume. Surprisingly, it is four times higher than Niagara Falls and twice the height of Victoria Falls.
