The Charter Chapter (Los Angeles/Orange County) gathered for its Annual International Holiday Luncheon at the festively-decorated Lawry’s The Prime Rib Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, on Dec. 14, 2024.
A celebratory crowd of nearly 60 (including 12 guests) honored Ed Howard upon achieving his Gold Level (200 destinations) designation as well as Diana and Dennis Trombley, each of whom received their Silver Level (150 destinations) recognition. Full Membership certificates were awarded to Barbara Peters, Christina Woods and Ed von Leffern.
Charter Chapter Coordinator Michael Sholer welcomed back the Trombleys, who presented a fascinating program on “Oman: Land of Frankincense,” featuring excursions to several regions of the Sultanate, camel-riding and star-gazing, as well as circulating small jars of the famed fragrance in rock-like form.
