  • January 2026 Update From the Miami-Area TCC Chapter

    Dear Southeast Florida TCC Chapter Members:

    Happy New Year! I hope you are planning exciting travels for 2026 and beyond.

    I have been the Southeast Florida Chapter Coordinator since January 2024. In my first year I was able to organize eight chapter meetings, and in 2025 I was able to organize ten chapter meetings. I am retired and still an active traveler as I did ten trips in 2026 (three domestic and seven international trips). Plus I teach travel-related classes at the University of Miami and Florida International University. It is my goal that we will have ten chapter gatherings in 2026.

    I could use some help with managing our chapter especially with communications. My IT skills are limited, and I could use some help finding better ways to communicate with our members. I would like to set up a WhatsApp for our chapter since it may be a better and quicker way to communicate instead of email. I serve as Chapter Coordinator as a volunteer since I support the TCC mission and want more local gatherings, especially as our members get older and may be traveling less frequently. We do NOT have a budget, so chapter activities are self funded. Please contact me directly if you are willing to help strengthen our chapter communications or have specific suggestions for future gatherings.

    • Sunday, April 19 — a two-part event
      1st a visit to the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens
      2nd a gathering at the home of member Lisa Taylor
      Del Ray Beach Palm Beach County
    • Sunday, ,May 17
      Gathering at the home of member Beverly Feingold
      Fort Lauderdale, Broward County
    • Sunday, June 7
      Miami Shores Country Club
      Miami Dade County

    I will send out a specific email providing exact information on EACH gathering about two weeks BEFORE the event. So mark your calendars for these dates. I understand that we are a social travel group so it is not always possible to attend all chapter meetings. Attending chapter gatherings is FUN and a great way to network with fellow travelers.

    Also please let me know if you want to host a future TCC gathering in your home. I feel that the home gatherings are the best for networking and getting to know our members better. We are such interesting people

    January is also the time to pay your TCC annual dues. You should be receiving an email notification from the TCC headquarters in the next few weeks. Yearly dues can be paid online.
