Thank you to Charles Merkel, the Virtual Explorations team and especially the Oceania Chapter for hosting Lonely Planet creator and author, Tony Wheeler in October. Tony was highly anticipated since his appearance earlier this year on The Hippie Trail. He gave a wonderful and enlightening presentation on his book Islands of Australia. Tony explained that Australia has over 8,000 islands around its coastline and had interesting stories to share about the early settlers.
