Harsh Sinha joined the TCC in 2020 while he was a college undergraduate at the age of 22. He has the distinction of being the youngest person in the world to visit 100 U.N. countries and all 50 U.S. states.
Harsh was raised in Gadsden, Alabama, to British and Indian parents. Growing up, Harsh and his two brothers would join their parents on annual month-long road trips from their home in Alabama to destinations all over the U.S. Everywhere from the Grand Canyon to Maine and back. By the time Harsh moved to Boston for college, he had already been to eight countries and 37 states. Between the ages of 18 and 23, Harsh traveled to another 92 countries and the last 13 states — while he was a full-time student! He graduated with a degree in Data Science in 2020 and spent the next two years working at Meta (the parent company of Facebook) here in the Bay Area.
One of Harsh’s most memorable travel experiences occurred in Tanzania (his country #99) when he spent a day hunting with the Hadzabe tribe of the Great Rift Valley. The Hadzabe are one of the last true hunter-gatherer tribes remaining in the world, with a population of only 1,200. We’ll have the opportunity to view his photos while chasing birds and scavenging for honey with the Hadzabe.
He’s excited to share both his stories about travel while in college and with the Hadzabe.
