The next San Diego area TCC meeting will be on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11:30 a.m. at the La Jolla Sheraton Hotel. The speaker will be Matt Allison, who will discuss his recent visits to Niger and the world’s largest cave in Vietnam. The cost is $40 per person.
The first 2016 meeting of the Denver TCC Chapter will be on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. at the Imperial Chinese Restaurant (431 South Broadway, telephone 303-698-2800). The Kansas City Chapter met on Dec. 4 at Trezo Mare Restaurant. Approximately 40 members and guests attended. There were two programs. Adam Jones gave a presentation on his recent trips to Iran, and Chapter Coordinator Steve Fuller talked about his recent trip to Cuba, running the Havana Marathon, and staying in Room 812 of
UNESCO World Heritage Sites were featured at Toronto’s meeting on Dec. 5, reports Coordinator Rick Shaver. He gave an introductory presentation and those attending were asked to share a memory, photo and story of a favorite UNESCO site visit. These included Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands by Jon Boddy, Easter Island by Bob Bryant, Waterton Lakes
The Western Canada chapter met for our third time in Vancouver at the well-positioned River Rock Casino Resort, where we enjoyed cocktails and a light lunch at the “Curve” atrium lobby bar.
